A.J. Wells, Chief Engineer
A.J. Wells drives the train, which is to say that if Dane has a technical question, A.J. answers it. He is the primary component-level electronics mastermind of the organization. A.J. has worked in the audio and video production fields as well as in electronics manufacture, repair, and installation.
A.J. owns a frightful collection of antique keyboards, including a Hammond C3, Mellotron 400, VOX organ, Orchestrator, and an authentic celesta. He also has a pile of old Ampex 440's and a stack of aging tube devices made by Altec Lansing.
Dane Tate, Product Specialist
Dane Tate designed and manufactured the Dane Optical De-esser #31 in the 1990's. He spent the first eight years of his career at Irving Productions in Tulsa, OK as a recording engineer on thousands of voice-overs. Dane later worked as a freelance audio post engineer at the TV Guide Channel. He has also worked in the video production and A/V contractor fields.
Dane's personal recording setup includes an API VPR rack and an original #31 de-esser.
